Data Protection Statement
April 2026
With this Data Protection Statement I, Lilly Sciolli (hereinafter Lilly, I or me), describe how I collect and further process personal data. This Data Protection Statement is not necessarily a comprehensive description of my data processing.
On my website I collect and process personal data, in particular personal data about my subscribers and recipients of newsletters (hereinafter you).
Controller and Contact
The controller responsible for the processing of your personal data is Lilly Sciolli. For any questions related to this Data Protection Statement, or to exercise your rights described below, you can reach me at lilly@lillysciolli.com.
Collection and Processing of Personal Data
You provide me with most of the data I process. I may also obtain data from publicly available sources (e.g. media or the internet, including social media). The data I collect includes in particular your email address and, where you choose to provide it, your name. In addition, I use a website hosting provider to provide this website. When you visit my website, my hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and access timestamps for the purpose of operating the site securely.
Purpose of Data Processing
When you interact with me, I collect and process various categories of your personal information. In particular, I may collect and otherwise process this information for the following purposes: communication (so that I can communicate with you by email), registration (so that you can take advantage of certain offers and services, e.g. newsletters) and other purposes, such as administrative purposes.
Newsletter and Subscriber Management
For subscriber management and newsletter distribution I use MailerLite, operated by MailerLite Limited, 38 Mount Street Upper, Dublin 2, D02 PR89, Ireland, and MailerLite Inc., USA. When you sign up for my newsletter or request related content, the data you provide is transmitted to MailerLite and stored on servers within the EU (Germany / Netherlands). MailerLite uses this data exclusively to deliver the information and newsletters you have requested; it is not shared with third parties for unrelated purposes. A transfer of data to the United States cannot be ruled out. Such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and I have entered into a data processing agreement with MailerLite. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter or by contacting me directly.
Quizzes
I may offer quizzes on my website. If you participate in a quiz, I process the information you provide, such as your answers and, where applicable, your name and email address. I use this data to provide the quiz and display your results. Your quiz results are not stored or shared. When you use a quiz, technical data such as your IP address, browser type and access timestamps may also be processed for security and technical operation purposes.
Disclosure to Third Parties
I do not sell your personal data. Beyond the service providers described in this Statement (in particular MailerLite as my email service processor and my website hosting provider), I do not share your data with third parties for purposes unrelated to the services you have requested.
Retention
I retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as required by applicable law. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe or request its deletion.
Your Rights
In accordance with and as far as provided by applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification and erasure of your personal data, the right to restriction of processing or to object to my data processing. You may also withdraw any consent you have given at any time, with effect for the future. Where you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC).
Changes
I may update this Data Protection Statement from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
